U9 (2 v 0) felpham colts youth - by langton     DEADLY DUO SEAL FIRST WIN whyke united's first competitive game was to be a tough contest against felpham. all the players were well up for the game and keen to impress from the start. felpham had the first good chance which flashed just wide, but once the lads settled into their rythm there was only 1 team in it. the visitors were to rue their early missed oppourtunity as whyke grabbed the opening goal, a fine individual effort from ben riding. alfie johnson added the second just before the break to give a half time lead. a good second half was contested but solid defensive displays from milo tite and matthew langton was combined with excellent midfield play. more goals seemed enevitable but never came. a clean sheet for austen allen and 3 hard earned points to see a good start to the season. man of the match ben riding
