GOLDEN G-EIGHT BUT NO SILVER LINING
whyke started this game with confidence flowing from the previous fixture. doing the basic things well was proving effective and difficult to handle. the first 5 minutes was evenly contested as both teams got a feel for the game, it took some good play down the left hand side from austen allen to link up with josh huggett who tucked the ball away for his first of the season. that moment seemed to relieve the pressure and the flood gates opened. alfie johnson smashed a left foot shot into the far corner before getting his second from clode range. andrew corral seacombe added another just before the break for a 4-0 half time lead. the second half was a forgone conclusion and a second half hat-trick from jack parkinson was the least that the team deserved. towards the end of the game alfie johnson grabbed his 3rd to claim a hat-trick and the 3 points. a clean sheet for william norris, his second and the teams 3rd from 3 so far. a unfortunate end to the game saw the home side claim a walkover due to card issues. although this was disappointing i feel as coach the performance has excited me and is more then happy with the way the team are playing. i feel this small hiccup will only make us stronger.
man of the match alfie johnson
