Detailed Report

U12B (2 v 2) Felpham Colts Youth - by Toop

Both game from last season were very tight, with Whyke just shading it on both occasions. From the very start, both teams signalled their intentions, but it was Felpham who drew first blood. It was end to end stuff, with Whyke pressing hard to equalise & after a few good chances went begging, they finally drew level through good team play down the left side, from Jordan Whites clearance then a great pass from George Collins to Makeshift striker Alfie Elkington, who blasted the ball into the back of the net. Half time it was one all. The second half started in the same vein. It was a hot sunny day, but both teams were working hard. Whykes backs were working well to keep Colts at bay. Ten minutes in & Whyke took the lead with a great finish from Tomm Cherrill. The lead did not last long as Felpham kept the pressure up & scored five minutes later. It could have gone either way as both teams pressed for the winner. It ended up two-all & a fair result on the day as both sides contributed to an entertaining game. MOM Robin Thompson.
Well done to all, Keith & Nick
