U12B (1 v 0) Chi City Colts B - by Toop     This was the first meeting between the local rivals, this season, with last years honours even. From the off, both sides were trying hard to stamp their authority on the game, but both sides were denied by the keepers at either end. At half time it was all square. Whyke started the second half the better side, as they showed more determination & passion. It was not long before a fine goal from Tom Cherrill, which this time gave the keeper no chance, for Whyke to take the lead. Whyke were pilling on the pressure & shortly afterwards George Collins struck a wonderful shot which had the keeper beat , only to be denied by the bar. Chi too, had their chances, one strike producing the save of the match, from Whykes Charlie Lomas, in goal. Although Whyke tried hard, they just could not get that second goal, but eventually ran out one nil winners, in yet again a close encounter between these two local sides.
